Paper IO

Paper IO is a very popular multiplayer arcade game on phones and web browsers. The game has simple yet highly addictive gameplay: players control a square block to capture as much territory as possible on the map.

Basic Gameplay

You control a small square moving across the map.

When you leave your territory, you draw a line.

When you return to your original territory and close that line, the area inside becomes your land.

Objective: Capture the largest percentage of the map area.

But there's a danger:

If an opponent touches the line you're drawing, you're eliminated.

Conversely, you can also cut through an opponent's line to eliminate them.

Common Tactics

Expand slowly – Don't draw overly large circles when there are many other players around.

Observe your opponents – If they stay outside their territory for too long, that's an opportunity to attack.

Protect the drawn lines – The longer the lines, the easier they are to cut.

Keep territory near the center – This is usually easier to defend.
