Space Waves Halloween is a music-driven online game that combines auto-running with timed player input, where the player must move their character at the right time to overcome obstacles along the path.
In contrast with conventional platform games where the player can pause in order to plan their next move, in Space Waves they are not allowed to stop and instead must keep actively moving forward.
In addition, the unique Halloween aesthetics give the game some interesting personality. Its creepy visuals, mystical dangers, and candies add to the thrill of every run in the game.
Start a level and watch the obstacles ahead.
Use the jump control at the right moment to avoid spikes, saws, and other hazards.
Look out for items that can change your speed, direction of gravity, distance from the ground, or orientation of the screen.
You need to adapt yourself to the different forms of your character and be incredibly quick.
Reach the finish line without hitting an obstacle.
Jump: Left-click
Jump on a touchscreen: Tap the screen
Jump using the keyboard: Spacebar or Up Arrow (↑)
Open the pause menu: Esc

Many arcade games reward quick reactions. Space Waves Halloween adds another layer: the ability to predict what is about to happen.
A spike may require a perfectly timed jump. A portal may change gravity just as you approach a narrow passage. Sometimes, a sudden transformation requires a completely different approach to movement.
Timing may sometimes work, but predicting future obstacles is almost always trumped by your responses.
This leads to a very good learning system. The first level may seem impossibly fast during the first attempt. On several tries, a player starts to learn patterns. After some time, he starts making sense of actions that appeared chaotic at first.
