Poople is this ridiculously fun, free online word ladder game that’s been consuming way too much of my screen time lately—perfect if you're a fellow word nerd, a casual gamer, or just someone who loves a quick brain teaser. The premise couldn't be simpler: every day, you're given a four-letter starting word, and your job is to shift it letter by letter until you land on the ultimate destination: POOP.

It takes all of thirty seconds to wrap your head around the rules, but don't let that fool you. Sneaking your way to the target word in the fewest moves possible is surprisingly tricky. It forces you to dig deep into your vocabulary, plan a few moves, and occasionally stare at your screen wondering how you ended up trapped at a dead end.

Grab Your Starting Point: Every daily puzzle hands you a fresh four-letter word to kick things off—think starting with something like COLD.

Swap One Letter per Turn: Each move, you get to change just one letter of your current word to build a brand-new four-letter word.

Stick to Real Words: No making up gibberish when you're stuck in a corner—every step along the way has to be a legit English word.

Target POOP: You just keep chaining valid words together until you finally hit POOP.

Honestly, there’s nothing quite like the goofy satisfaction of successfully navigating a path from a completely normal word straight to POOP in record moves. It’s lighthearted, clever, and easily the best two-minute distraction in my daily routine.
